ABM announces new hires, strategic plan

New York—American Business Media announced three additions to its management team. Michael Burns was named VP-events. Burns, who most recently was a communications consultant at Morgan Stanley, succeeds Jane O'Connor, who left ABM earlier.

ABM also said that Claudia Flowers has rejoined the association as VP-recruitment and retention, a position that had been vacant for about two years. She was most recently VP-client solutions at Outsell Inc. and was previously VP-business development at ABM.

Additionally, Marie Griffin has been named ABM's VP-content and programming, a new position. She was most recently a contributing editor to BtoB's Media Business.

ABM also said that Todd Hittle will continue as the association's general manager-CFO. He will help Clark Pettit, ABM's president-CEO, implement a new strategic plan that emphasizes a cooperative approach with industry experts and other organizations to provide greater value to members.
