Ad pages up 3.1% in June

New York—Total magazine ad pages for June 2004 increased 3.1% compared with June of last year, according to Publishers Information Bureau.

Year-to-date, ad pages were up a modest 0.5% compared with the first six months of 2003, according to PIB.

In June, the big four business magazines posted mixed results. Both Forbes (31.31%) and The Economist (11.04) were up in ad pages, but BusinessWeek (-3.2%) and Fortune (-7.7%) were down.

Year to date, all four posted ad page gains: Forbes (21.69%), Fortune (13.45%), The Economist (10.22%) and BusinessWeek (9.6%).
