AdRelevance sees b-to-b boom

Seattle--Business-to-business companies are the fastest growing revenue streams for Internet advertising networks, according to a report released by AdRelevance Inc. The Seattle-based research firm, which gets its numbers by sending out automated inquiries of Web pages and matching the results against traffic flowing from an Internet hub, said the number of b-to-b advertisers increased by 58% from the previous quarter, while the spending on the average b-to-b campaign surged 66%. In other industries, such as retail, financial services, travel and automotive, the average percentage of new companies purchasing advertising was 17%. AdRelevance said there's room for more growth--only 42% of all b-to-b companies have launched Internet advertising campaigns to date.
