American Lawyer Media changes name to ALM

New York—American Lawyer Media, which publishes American Lawyer and Corporate Counsel, announced Tuesday that it has changed its name to ALM, effective immediately.

The company said the new name is intended to reflect that the company’s product offerings have grown beyond newspapers and magazines to include events, market research and the Internet.

The new ALM corporate graphic identity, designed by Partners & Simons, Boston, will be integrated into all publication covers, Web designs and mastheads.

"For marketers, this means new programs that increase the efficiency of using multiple, coordinated ALM channels to communicate and target their companies' business-to-business and consumer messages," said William Pollak, president-CEO of ALM, in a statement.
