ANA issues guidelines for TV commercial production

New York--The Association of National Advertisers has issued guidelines for achieving cost efficiencies in TV commercial production.

The guidelines, which were developed by the ANA's Production Management Committee, cover pre-production planning, bidding procedures, rights negotiations and other topics.

Among the 15 guidelines are the following: Formalize TV production guidelines; set project budgets prior to creative development; use a production expert; evaluate the number of shoot days required; and use cost-plus accounting on specific categories.
