AOL to acquire Tacoda

Dulles, Va.—AOL announced plans to acquire behavioral targeting network Tacoda. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Under the terms of the deal, Tacoda will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of AOL. Using Tacoda’s technology, AOL will extend its targeting capabilities to advertisers and publishers.

The acquisition continues AOL’s aggressive drive into online advertising. Earlier this year, AOL acquired Third Screen Media, a mobile advertising network, and AdTech AG, an online ad serving company based in Frankfurt, Germany.
