April ad pages down 15.4%

New York--B-to-b ad pages for April declined 15.4% from the same period last year, according to the latest Business Information Network figures, which were released Tuesday. Competitive Media Reporting compiles the figures for American Business Media. Advertising revenue for April declined 17.2% from the same period last year. ABM president-CEO Gordon Hughes said he was encouraged by the numbers, which dropped less than they had in previous months. “What we’re seeing now is the beginning of the uptick,” he said. For the first four months of 2002, ad pages tumbled 20% and revenues declined 23% compared with the same period last year.
