Former astronaut named president of McGraw-Hill Aerospace & Defense

New York—Terence “Tom” Henricks, a former astronaut and senior executive with Textron, Wednesday was appointed president of McGraw-Hill Aerospace & Defense.

Henricks starts the new job April 3. He succeeds Kenneth Gazzola, who will retire at the end of the year after spending 18 years with McGraw-Hill.Henricks led government and business development for Textron’s Bell Helicopter Division.

Henricks also spent more than a decade with NASA and participated in space shuttle missions both as a pilot and commander. Before joining NASA, he served as an F-16 test pilot and F-4 fighter pilot in the U.S. Air Force.
