New York—The Aviation Week Group of the McGraw-Hill Cos. announced Thursday that it will introduce Defense Technology International on Sept. 12. The new title will cover a range of defense technologies, including air-, land- and sea-based systems.

DTI will be bound into Aviation Week for existing subscribers; it will be mailed as a polybagged, free-standing magazine along with Aviation Week to non-Aviation Week subscribers.

"Creating a dedicated information source focused on current and emerging defense technologies is a natural progression from our leadership position in aviation and aerospace," said Kenneth E. Gazzola, Aviation Week Group exec VP-publisher.

DTI will be mailed to 38,000 people. Following its September debut, DTI will be published again Nov. 21 and then every other month in 2006.
