B-to-b ad pages climb in May

New York--B-to-b ad pages increased 3.4% in May 2004 compared with May 2003, according to the Business Information Network report released Monday by American Business Media. It was the first such increase since December 2003. Ad spending in May was up 6.1%. Year-to-date ad dollars showed a 1.8% increase, with ad pages down 0.9%. The Finance, Business & Advertising category led all page gainers with a 17.5% increase. The Services, Direct Response & Classified category suffered the biggest drop, falling 8.8%.
