B-to-b ad pages continue their slide

New York—B-to-b advertising pages declined 31.6% in May compared with the year-earlier period, according to Business Information Network figures released Tuesday by American Business Media.

For the first five months of this year, ad pages plunged 30.3% compared with the same period last year. (These data do not include ad page information for the agricultural category, which will be available in about two weeks, according to ABM).

Updated BIN ad page figures for April showed some modest improvement after new data were released, including agricultural figures. Ad pages for April were down 31.1% (compared with the previously reported 31.6% decline), and ad pages for the first four months of the year were down 28.7% (compared with the previously reported drop of 29.17%).
