B-to-b ad pages fell in February

New York--B-to-b ad pages dropped 8.4% and ad spending 9.2% in February from a year earlier, according to the latest Business Information Network report. The only two ad categories to show increases were travel, up 0.83%, and horticulture and farming, up 0.5%. Computer ads were down 20%, software nearly 17% and finance, business and advertising nearly 15%. Although ad spending fell overall, several categories saw increased spending, including telecommunications, up 10%, and retail, up 6%.
