B-to-b ad pages, revenue on the rise

New York—In a positive sign for 2006, b-to-b ad pages were up 1.9% in November from a year earlier, according to Business Information Network, a unit of American Business Media. Year-to-date, ad pages climbed 3.6%. B-to-b ad revenue was up 2.4 in November and nearly 5% year-to-date. Key growth categories included banking/financial/insurance and travel/conventions/meetings, which had year-to-date revenue increases of 25% and 24%, respectively. Gorgon Hughes II, president-CEO of the ABM, said in a news release, “The year is finishing up better than we anticipated. Last year we had predicted revenue would be up 3% to 4%, and it is pacing closer to 5%. We anticipated pages up about 2% and we see growth beyond that.”
