B-to-b ad revenues up 4.5% in April

New York—B-to-b advertising pages declined by 2.63% in April compared with April 2004, but ad revenues were up 4.54% in the same time period, according to American Business Media’s latest Business Information Network report, which was released last week.

Year-to-date ad pages have declined 0.82% compared with the same period of 2004, and year-to-date ad revenues are up 5.87%, the BIN report found.

This increase in revenue is very encouraging and illustrative that the business-to-business market is getting stronger and gaining momentum, Gordon T. Hughes II, ABM’s president-CEO, said in a statement.

The BIN reports are compiled by IMS/The Auditor and PERQ/HCI, which together track more than 1,600 b-to-b publications.
