New York--Most b-to-b buyers will eventually move online even though purchasing agents are planning to conduct just 20% of their transactions over the Internet, according to a study released Monday by Jupiter Media Metrix. According to the study, 60% of purchasing agents said the major deterrent to buying online is that their preferred vendors do not transact via the Web. All the same, the study said, buyers understand the benefits of online transactions and want to be ready once suppliers start distributing their products on the Web.
