B-to-b media deals on the decline

The number of announced U.S. b-to-b trade magazine and in-person media deals for the first five months of 2000 dropped 55% from the same period last year, according to data compiled by the Jordan, Edmiston Group Inc., a media investment bank. Deals in trade publications fell from 43 during the first five months of last year to 25 this year, a decline of 42%. Deals in in-person media declined 82%, from 22 to four.
