BASF reorganizes to speed up processes

Mount Olive, N.J.--Chemical producer BASF Corp., which has annual revenues of about $34 billion, said Wednesday that it has reorganized operations around a “Fit For the Future'' strategy designed to speed up its business processes. The company said the plan includes consolidating three sales regions into two. Region one will consist of chemicals and BASF Canada and be headed by Exec VP Carl Jennings. Region two will include coatings, polymers and fibers and BASF Mexico and be headed by Exec VP Frank McKulka.
