BIN numbers show decline in ad pages, revenue

New York -- The Business Information Network figures compiled by Competitive Media Reporting, New York, for the first quarter of 1999 show declines in ad pages and ad revenue. Ad pages fell 4.88% to 199,309.13, compared with the first quarter of 1998. Similarly, ad revenue dropped 0.77% to $2.3 billion, compared with the first quarter of last year. Among the losing categories were telecommunications, which saw its ad pages fall 17.78%, and computers, which saw ad pages fall 15%.
