Bing, Klout partner to display influencer scores

Redmond, Wash.—Search engine Bing has partnered with social analytics company Klout Inc. to provide social influence scores in results for search queries about people. Bing already typically returns information from public LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter profiles when a user searches an individual's name. Klout scores now will also be displayed, to gain an understanding of the areas these people are experts in, Bing said, on the Bing Blog. Also, the number of Bing queries about a person will affect their Klout score, a measure of how influential that person is across social networks, Klout said.
