Bizo introduces Switchboard URL shortener in beta

San Francisco—Online b-to-b advertising network Bizo launched a beta version of a new link shortener called Bizo Switchboard, which can be placed in a tweet or other social media post and provides a demographic picture (by industry, job function and size of company) of people who click on that link. Switchboard also helps manage social media campaigns and allows marketers to deliver offers and retarget display ads to those audiences. “All marketing, communications and editorial professionals embed links and share shortened links via social media in an effort to extend their brands and messages to a wider audience, hoping to find the right audience,” Chris Mann, Bizo's director-product management, said in a statement. “Until today, they have had little to no information as to who clicked on a link and no chance to engage with the "right' audience when they found it.”
