Blackwell Publishing buys Nutrition Press

Boston—Blackwell Publishing announced it has acquired Food and Nutrition Press. With the deal, Blackwell adds 11 journal titles and more than 50 books to its food science list. As part of the agreement, Blackwell will now publish Foodservice Research International, Journal of Food Biochemistry and Journal of Food Process Engineering, among other titles. Eugene Simonoff and Associates represented Blackwell in the deal, which was finalized on Oct. 1 for an undisclosed amount.
