BPA sets up subscription agent certification program

New York—Following several circulation scandals in consumer publishing, BPA Worldwide this week launched a certification program for consumer magazine subscription agents. Under the plan, BPA will conduct annual systems certification audits on consumer magazine subscription agents that opt to participate in the program. The program is designed to make sure that an agent’s operations and procedures comply with both the Magazine Publishers of America’s (MPA) “Guidelines on Relations With Subscriptions Agents” and BPA’s rules and requirements.
