BPA Worldwide to provide monthly audits for Metro USA

Shelton, Conn.—In another shot fired at competitor Audit Bureau of Circulations, BPA Worldwide announced Wednesday that Metro USA, which includes Metro New York, Metro Boston and Metro Philadelphia newspapers, have upgraded their BPA membership to begin providing monthly reporting of audited circulation next year.

They are the first BPA-audited newspapers to provide reporting of audited circulation on such a frequent basis. ABC generally audits on a six-month basis.

"The media-buying community wants accurate, stringently audited circulation data in a more timely fashion, and we wanted to pioneer this territory," said Johan Hansson, managing director-North America for Metro International.
