Breaking “Auction Order” Explained

Shedding light on the arcane but important topic of how Google scores ads after keyword auctions is the subject of this blog entry on the Out of My Gord blog by Gord Hotchkiss. In this follow-up on his earlier interview with Nick Fox and Diane Tang from Google's Ad Quality team, we learn from the Google officials that ad ranks are “based on both quality score and by bid. Auction order, therefore, is based on the combination of both of those factors.”
