BroadVision broadens portal product

Redwood City, Calif.--BroadVision Inc. has unveiled a corporate initiative to get big companies to deploy enterprise Internet portals as the engine for self-service and collaborative business. The move is designed to support release of the BroadVision InfoExchange Portal 6.0 brand of product, which BroadVision says can reduce IT costs, boost revenue and improve employee productivity. Such customers as FleetBoston Financial Corp., Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and the State of California will figure in marketing materials designed to support the new product. Pricing of the campaign was not disclosed.
