BuyerZone reaches profitability

Watertown,, a b-to-b marketplace and lead-generation service, said Wednesday that it had reached profitability in the third quarter, three years after securing its initial venture financing. Revenue in the third quarter increased 77% from a year earlier. BuyerZone, which launched in 1992 as an offline content company providing small-business purchasing advice, moved to the online marketplace in 1999.
