Cahners creates Internet division

New York--In a major move that reflects its expanding e-commerce focus, Cahners Business Information has created an Internet division, Cahners Digital. ``Creating an Internet division enables us to increase our speed to market and expand our impact in key market sectors,'' said Cahners CEO Marc Teren. Cahners has hired Tad Smith, formerly senior VP of e-commerce at Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, as CEO of Cahners Digital. Included in the new division will be eLogic, the Web content management company that Cahners recently bought.
