BtoB reports growth in online viewership of NCAA basketball tournament

Fort Lauderdale, Fla.— reported Tuesday that online traffic for its NCAA March Madness on Demand increased 36% in this year’s NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship compared with 2009.

More than 11.7 million hours of live streaming video and audio were consumed by 8.3 million unique visitors, said.

TV viewership of the tournament increased 5% this year compared with last year.

About 575,000 unique visitors watched the final game of the tournament online on Monday night. That was up 70% from last year.
