New York—Citigroup plans to consolidate its $500 million global media account with WPP’s Mediaedge:cia, according to a report in Advertising Age, a sibling publication of BtoB). The account win, which was confirmed by an executive familiar with the deal, comes after Citigroup dropped Fallon as its media agency earlier this year. Mediaedge:cia, which currently handles TV buying for Citigroup, will take over all planning and buying for TV, print and online, according to the report.
