CMO Council creates advisory board for Middle East and Northern Africa

Dubai, United Arab Emirates—The Chief Marketing Officer Council, a group of 5,000 senior marketing executives, said Monday that it has created a new advisory board to assess marketing in the Middle East and North Africa.

The board is intended to gauge marketing credibility and effectiveness in the region. It is chaired by Mohammed Al-Tajer, VP-cluster marketing head for the global consumer group of Citibank in the MENA (Middle East and Northern Africa) region.

“We plan to have a very active and engaged team that will help develop CMO Council program initiatives, authority leadership platforms and advocacy positions. The geography includes more than 20 Arab-speaking countries and some 200 different nationalities across diverse countries, cultures and population groups,” Al-Tajer said in a statement.
