CMP reports increase in ad pages

Manhasset, N.Y.--CMP Media reported that its continuing technology publications recorded a 2.3% increase in ad pages in October compared with October 2002. The tech publishing market as a whole declined by 5.1%, according to CMP’s data, which is provided by IMS: The Auditor. Network Computing (77.7%), Network Magazine (67.8%) and Information Week (16.7%) led the way with double-digit ad page increases in October compared with October 2002. VAR Business (7.5%) and CRN (4.2%) also posted ad page gains, while EE Times (-2.9%), Dr. Dobb’s (-32.5%) and ebn (-37.2%) posted declines.
