Compaq to run ads on ATM machines

Baltimore--Compaq Computer Corp. has taken its ``24X7'' brand campaign to a new venue. Its advertising agency DDB Needham Worldwide, New York, signed Wednesday a contract with ATM Advertising, Baltimore, to display Compaq's message on 1,700 automated teller machines in six markets. At $250,000 the purchase is a drop in the bucket, but ATM President Mike Szimanski said he hopes it will spur others to use ATM advertising as part of business-to-business campaigns.
