With Compendium acquisition, Oracle adds content marketing

Redwood City, Calif.—Oracle Corp. has acquired Compendium, whose technology helps marketers plan, produce and deliver content across multiple channels. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition of Compendium, based in Indianapolis, is intended to improve top-of-funnel customer engagement for Oracle’s clients, providing content in exchange for contact details to initiate customer relationships, Oracle said in a statement. Compendium’s technology will be added to the Oracle Eloqua Marketing Cloud suite of tools, which currently includes marketing automation, social media marketing, customer relationship management and e-commerce, the company said. Compendium’s clients include meetings technology company Cvent Inc., retailer Gymboree Corp. and heating and air-conditioning company Trane Inc.
