ComScore launches tablet metrics service

Reston, Va.—Online intelligence company comScore Inc. has introduced a service that provides publishers and advertisers with monthly reporting and metrics concerning tablet devices and their owners. ComScore's new TabLens reports are based on a three-month rolling sample of 6,000 U.S. tablet owners, offering such statistics as demographics, content consumption habits, device ownership, device types and operating systems. Also tracked are user age, gender, income, education and ethnicity. The new service is similar to comScore's existing MobiLens service, which has tracked mobile phone metrics since 2005.
