Content farms going fallow?

In a post Thursday on the Outspoken Media blog, Lisa Barone contemplates the uncertain future of content farms such as Demand Media. She references, among other things, a talk by Mahalo's Jason Calacanis and a blog post from Google hinting that the search giant is taking steps to avoid its search results being unduly influenced by SEO magic. Barone applauds this move: “The search engines need to grow some balls and stop these worthless sites from showing up,” she writes.
