CXO Media to add 'CMO' in September

Framingham, Mass.--CXO Media, a unit of International Data Group, announced Tuesday that it plans to launch CMO magazine in September.

The magazine, which is expected to have a 64-page folio plus cover, will have editorial that focuses on helping chief marketing officers gain market share and justify budgets. A companion Web site will debut in June.

CXO Media also publishes CIO (chief information officer) and CSO (chief security officer), both of which have a strong technology focus. Technology will be a part of CMO magazine’s editorial mission, but the magazine is aimed at CMOs in every industry, and in both consumer and b-to-b sectors.

The magazine will have an initial controlled circulation of 25,000. Gary Beach will hold the title of group publisher.
