Data and content name of the game for search companies

New York—Companies in the search marketing industry continued to make headlines this week in conjunction with Jupiter Research’s Search Engine Strategies conference. Several of the announcements involved data management and content.

Search engine LookSmart announced that ProQuest Information and Learning will provide licensed periodical and newspaper content for LookSmart’s FindArticles resource.

Performics, DoubleClick’s search marketing division, introduced FeedLab at the show. FeedLab is a data feed management software solution.

FAST Search and Transfer announced the launch of FAST ProPublish, an enterprise search-based publication production management and delivery solution.
