'The Deal’ alters online subscription model

New York—The Deal on Monday debuted a revamped Web site at The move represents a shift in the magazine’s online subscription model.

Now archived content from the newsweekly is free; previously, it had only been available with a subscription.

With the shift, The Deal has also introduced several new advertising formats on its site. These include a banner alongside the masthead and a skyscraper on the right hand side of the page.

Additionally, videos, slide shows and the search tool will include sponsorship opportunities.
