Del Monte taps CAS for CRM

San Francisco--Del Monte Foods Co., the nation's largest manufacturer and marketer of canned fruits and vegetables, has tapped CAS GmbH, a consumer products direct marketing company, to develop its sales and marketing-oriented CRM platforms. Pirmasens, Germany-based CAS' platform will be deployed to bridge 2,500 Del Monte salespeople and marketers with clients. Mostly, it will be used to track sales and promotional activities. Del Monte, like many consumer products companies, is moving to implement CRM software as both a cost-saving and marketing measure.
