Dell adopts online communications ethics standard

Round Rock, Texas—Dell Inc. announced the adoption of an industry standard for ethical and accurate communications through its blogs, chat rooms, discussion forums and other online channels used to communicate with customers.

The standard was developed by the Word of Mouth Marketing Association.

Dell's policy includes requirements for providing transparency of origin, accuracy, ethical conduct, protection of information, and enforcement and discipline for Dell employees and other company representatives involved in online communications.
