Deloitte, WPP, Broadvision to form e-business consultancy

New York-based Deloitte Consulting, London-based WPP Group plc and Redwood City, Calif.-based Broadvision Inc. will launch Roundarch, a joint venture that will help companies develop e-business and marketing strategies. Chicago-based Roundarch, which already has 20 clients, including Pitney Bowes Inc. and, is starting operations in the U.S. on June 1 and will expand into Europe and the Asia Pacific region later this year. While technology and consulting firm joint ventures have become common, Roundarch's launch is significant because of its marketing focus and backing. WPP Group, which is currently negotiating to buy Young & Rubicam, New York, is one of the world's largest ad agency holding companies.
