San Francisco—Customer-acquisition company Demandbase Inc. is launching an application that melds its own Web analytics and database marketing technologies with the live chat technology of LivePerson Inc., for quick customer engagement.

The Demandbase Business Identification Application for LivePerson provides real-time information about a website visitor’s company and, based on that information, enables the routing of chats to the most appropriate live agent to drive purchase decisions, qualify leads or deliver support, according to the company.
