DMA announces NCDM award winners

New York—The Direct Marketing Association and DIRECT magazine announced winners of the 2005 National Center for Database Management Database Excellence Awards.

The awards, which recognize organizations that have demonstrated ingenuity and creativity in leveraging their marketing databases, will be presented Dec. 13 at a luncheon during the NCDM conference at the Walt Disney World Dolphin in Orlando, Fla.

A platinum award, the highest honor, will be given to Merkle for database work done for client Dell Inc.

Three gold awards will be given to the following companies: Merkle for Dell in the analytics and modeling applications category; Sourcelink for Affinia Hospitality in the multichannel marketing category; and Abacus/DoubleClick for AOL in the technology applications category.

Barclays Global Investors will receive a bronze award for database work in the b-to-b category.
