New York—The Direct Marketing Association has named Rance Crain, president of Crain Communications Inc., and Howard Draft, chairman of direct agency Draftfcb, to the organization's hall of fame.

In addition to his corporate title, Crain is editor in chief of Advertising Age, Crain's Chicago Business and Crain's New York Business, all sibling publications of BtoB.

Draft has led Draftfcb, a merger of agencies Draft and FCB, since 2006, and previously was chairman-CEO of Draft. One of the agency's original 13 founders in 1978, Draft was elected to the board of the Ad Council in 2007.

DMA's hall of fame honors direct marketing professionals “whose outstanding career contributions have led to the practice, growth and stature of the direct marketing community,” according to the association.

Crain and Draft will be inducted officially into DMA's hall of fame during its DMA2010 annual conference and expo, set for Oct. 9–14 in San Francisco.
