DMA Research Council changes name to Analytics Council

New York—The Direct Marketing Association’s Research Council has changed its name to the DMA Analytics Council. The move, announced Tuesday, reflects the council’s expanded focus on advanced analytics, including segmentation, predictive modeling and data mining. "In the past, the Research Council was focused on primary research and direct marketing testing. As direct marketing has progressed, analytical methods and the use of information have become increasingly more sophisticated," said John Carter, council chairman and senior VP of Equifax.
