San Francisco--The Direct Marketing Association on Monday said it would pursue legislation at the state and federal level in response to what it calls “the rising volume of spam.” It said it will also continue to provide education, best practices guidelines and possible technological solutions to spam. Separately, the DMA announced six new members were appointed to its 2002 board of directors for a three-year term. Among the new members are Ron Eilers, president-COO of Deluxe Corp.; Daniel Morel, chairman-CEO Wunderman New York; and Deborah Zuccarini, president of Marketing Solutions Group.
