DoubleClick reports rise in rich media

New York--Rich media advertising accounted for 42.8% of all online ads served by DoubleClick in the first quarter of 2004, up 54% from the same period last year, according to DoubleClick’s Ad Serving Trend Report. Also, for the first time, DoubleClick reported usage statistics for its Motif rich media ad units. The report found that on average, users interact with 18.4% of DoubleClick Motif ad units. Motif units display for 85 seconds, and the average interaction time is 30 seconds.
