Dow Chemical selects Interpublic for advertising and PR

San Francisco—Dow Chemical Co. has hired Interpublic Group of Cos. to handle its global advertising and PR account, estimated at $20 million.

The account was assigned following a review of ad agency holding companies. Interpublic agencies GolinHarris and Foote Cone & Belding are the lead agencies on the account.

In a statement, Dow said it initiated the review because it wanted “key stakeholders to better understand how its products, people and actions contribute to human progress.

The other finalists in the review were Omnicom Group, Publicis Groupe and WPP Group.
