New York—News Corp.'s Dow Jones & Co. Monday announced a new release of Dow Jones Companies & Executives Sales, an information product designed to help b-to-b sales and marketing teams keep up to date on the companies they call on.
In addition to providing news and information on companies, the new version of the product is designed to alert salespeople to “triggers” that might indicate a sales opportunity at companies they follow. These triggers, which are sent via e-mail, include management moves and product launches.
Additionally, Dow Jones Companies & Executives includes a mapping of executives and their work histories. Using this feature, salespeople can use their own organization's in-house e-mail systems, such as Microsoft Outlook, or social networks, such as LinkedIn, to uncover possible connections between themselves and prospects.
The product is available both as a Web application and as a series of widgets that can be integrated into CRM systems.
