Title: Director-engagement Company: Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. Years in current job: 2
Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. was formed in 2010 when business information company Dun & Bradstreet spun off a unit that merged with Credibility Solutions. The new company created through the merger focuses on gaining credit and credibility for its clients.
"We do a lot in helping businesses demonstrate their online credibility," said Dustin Luther, the company's director-engagement. “We just released a credibility score where our tech people are figuring out how to judge a business' overall credibility by monitoring social sites like Facebook and Twitter.”
It's a logical place to begin, in particular for Luther, who joined the company as director-social media. He helps spread the word with such social campaigns as this year's “Growing Chicago,” a program that encouraged SMBs to submit short videos explaining how they'd grow their Illinois-based businesses if they had increased access to funding. The winner, picked through social media voting, received $10,000 from Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp.
Beyond the dozens of video submissions, the campaign created lots of social buzz for the company, Luther said. “It created a great conversation point: What would you do if you had greater access to capital?” he said.
